Ms Crehan's 4th Class had great fun during Science Week. They conducted a simple experiment using an egg, salt and water and concluded how the density of a liquid affects whether a substance floats or sinks. They also investigated the concept of acid and alkaline using vinegar and washing powder and tumeric as a PH indicator. This allowed them to explore the concept of invisible writing. They made great pictures as a result.
